Dexton is a man-made material, they are made up of materials that are used in the manufacture of porcelain, glass and quartz. In the past all these materials were used separately to create worktops and splashbacks, Dekton is a combination of all three, producing a new material that is extremely durable and resistant to staining and damage.

The composite Dekton is very strong allowing large pieces to be manufactured in thicknesses that are thinner than most other materials, but still retaining the strength to withstand the wear and tear kitchen worktops and splash backs endure.

What are the key advantages of Dekton worktops?

The advantages of Dekton is its strength, Because it is so strong, it does not have to be as thick as other materials,  Dekton is manufactured in three thicknesses: an amazingly thin 8mm, as well as 2cm and 3cm thicknesses. Your selection of thickness depends on the purpose the material will be used for.

The flexibility of Dekton sizes means that larger sheets can be produced, needing fewer cuts and fewer joints, Dekton is highly resistant to extreme temperatures, scratching, staining, it is an ideal choice for use in kitchens and bathrooms. Dekton can be used for worktops, splashbacks, as well as side panels and up stands.

Dekton is available in a variety of colours and in textures both matte and polished.

Finally Hygiene is also an important point of any new kitchen and we are pleased to say that Dekton offers a high level of hygiene. The surface reduces the potential for bacteria on the work surface. Cleaning Dekton is done by using warm water, a sponge and a pH balanced household cleaner.
