Here are New Kitchen design trends we'll be seeing in late 2017
We have seen a number of people upgrading from laminate to quartz. This has risen steadily since 2016. The new trend seems set to continue next year. Previously the quartz material was seen as the high end of the luxury market, however now it is being installed in the lots of kitchens and bathrooms.
2. The Industrial Look
It’s definitely been a growing look over the last few years, particularly in the Scandinavian marketplace and it looks to keep making inroads in 2017-2018. Exposed pipes, exposed brick, minimalist furniture and rustic metals - this trend is based on the ‘factory spaces’. The combination of stone, concrete, wood creates innovative solutions and finishes.

Clutter free worktops are becoming more and more popular in interior design. Clear worktops create the feel of a larger kitchen space so for people with a small kitchen it’s certainly worth having a good tidy up.

With the current minimalist trend, designers still prefer to hide appliances in small kitchens. Kettles, Food Processors make their way into the larders. Intelligent high quality storage solutions with deep drawers add both style and practicality and also create the wow factor.
6. Monochrome tones
There seems to be a rise in white, black and grey tones in kitchens. Whether it’s entire cabinets, appliances or worktops the subtle hues coming through in various accents and details really are adding a modern style.

With regards to painted kitchens, there are trends to move away from the chunkier look and more to the slimline contouring that are working well with shaker slab drawer and door styles. New modern painted doors are coming into fashion across all areas of kitchen design.
8 Copper accents
Earthy tones and greys are the main trend in kitchens at the moment. In 2017, different shades of grey in doors and cabinets continue to be in high demand. We are also starting to see more copper coloured accessories, handles and appliances coming through as people look to move away from the traditional stainless steel look.
9. Technology, technology, technology…
With technology rapidly developing in the modern home this is also the case in the kitchen space. Integrated speakers with Bluetooth functionality, lights that change colour and even pop up power sockets for phone charging. Watch this space as things are changing fast!
