About Impala Stone
We house a modern production facility with high end machinery and advanced processes to enable us to provide a wide range of high-quality products. We offer a complete service from our experienced template team, skilled stonemasons and expert installations team. We pride ourselves on our ability to undertake all projects from the design stage to the final fitting.

2007
Business Began
The company was founded by Tom Edwards and Derrick Fretwell and began trading.

2012
Digital Laser Upgrade
We made the switch to using a digital laser template to remove the need for using plastic correx.

2015
New Equipment – Increased Capacity
Bought high-precision equipment for more elaborate 3D work with a grant and loan from Derbyshire Enterprise Growth Fund enabling us to quadruple capacity and expand the product base.

2016
Further Equipment Upgrades
Additional equipment is installed in the workshop for edge polishing, water treatments and laser templating.

2022
Purchased New Premises
Purchased a new site at Cubley, Ashbourne, just a few miles from our Kirk Langley headquarters.

Renovation Of New Site
Our new site undergoes development to create a new workshop, office and showroom.

Our process
Our process always begins with finding out exactly what you want to achieve and all the details – even the ones you might not have thought about.
We then visit to take exact measurements and create the template. We will arrange the best time to deliver and install to suit you, making sure that you know how to maintain your new stone installation.

Our showroom is open Monday – Friday 9am till 5pm, open Saturday open 10am till 3pm..

We are closed all bank holiday weekends, including Saturdays and bank holiday Mondays.

Collections are weekdays only 9am – 3.30pm. Special arrangements for collections can be made upon request.

Our current lead time is two – three weeks, however this may change to up to four weeks during busier periods. We recommend giving our team a call to check lead times if you’re on a tight timescale.

Our manufacturing process takes one week. Meaning our template and installation are generally a week apart, this is providing immediate availability of slabs.

As granite varies in colour and pattern, we suggest always viewing slabs to choose the correct colour for your home. Whole slabs can be viewed at one of our local suppliers, details of which can be given upon request. You are also always welcome to view the slabs when they arrive at our factory.

Depending on suppliers, we usually receive slabs from order in around a week or less. However special-order slabs, from Spain or Germany, may take up to four weeks to arrive with us for manufacture.

We cover all mainland only UK.

We ask for a 50% deposit on placement of order, the remaining balance is to be taken two days prior to installation. Trade terms of thirty-day invoice can be discussed in our office to qualifying companies.

Granite slab sizes vary from slab to slab, however, are generally slightly larger than quartz. Quartz slabs come in two sizes, 3.05m x 1.4m or 3.2m x 1.6m. Slab sizes are dependent on colour and availability.

Quartz is a man-made material which comprises of up to 97% natural quartz and pigment, the remaining is made from a resin based bonding agent. Granite, however, is a natural igneous rock quarried specifically for interior cosmetics and surfaces.
